Just got accepted

Dear Bama folks,

Hi! My name is Molly, and I am currently studying in Oxford, England. I will be moving back to my homeland of the Southern U.S. this summer to attend the University of Alabama's Strode MA in Renaissance Studies program.

Since I have never even been to Tuscaloosa, I don't have a clue as to how to go about organizing housing, where a good church is for twenty-somethings, etc. I do have a car waiting for me back in Georgia, so transport is covered. I do have a nice stipend from the MA program, so I will probably not work (well, I'll work, but writing papers, mostly).

So please respond if you can talk to me about:

- A church you attend and enjoy, one that has really helped you develop your relationship with the Lord,

- Housing areas and situations that are really nice in Tuscaloosa,

-Neighborhoods to avoid in Tuscaloosa,

- (really would be nice) if you think that we could be good roommates or know someone who would like me as a roommate

- how you've found the student services at UA generally

- The Strode MA program (if you are in it)

and/or

- Other communities where I can post this information

My apologies for the examination-like format of this post, but I have just completed my collection essays this morning, so I am in a testing frame of mind.

With very best wishes,

Molly Wright
